So Hard to Keep Up...

The training is going well. It is hard to find the time to keep up with the posts. Now that my letters have finally gone out I figure I better try to keep something going here just in case I actually have readers.

I'll start with most recent and go back as far as I can remember.

10 miles today in under 2 hours. There's debate about whether we only did 9 (my legs say it was 10). I stopped wearing the ASICS, I don't think they work for me as well as the Sauconys do. Kept a good pace but the last two miles were quite challenging.

Did my first gym workout on Thursday. The mission was to do an 60 min workout upper and lower body. After the upper body workout was complete (about 40 min) I was just a sweaty hump on the track floor. I couldn't do anything but sit there for almost an hour and recover.  Today's 10 mile suggest it was a good thing I didn't get to the lower body on Thursday. I figure in a couple weeks, if I keep up the gym workout then it should improve my running tremendously.

This weeks running in general went well after last weeks cut back. My legs felt like they had a chance to heal from all the buildup so far. Looking forward to the next cutback.

Last Saturday was a 60 min run and the whole team seemed to get through it very well.

The Saturday before that was a 10 mile over hill and dale (is that spelled right? What's a dale anyway?) The hills just about killed me. Thus the need to start getting into the gym.

OK, I think that's all I can remember.

Still running and still collecting donations contact me for more info .
